Sustainability Campaign 2010

News Item SustainabilityEarly in 2010, Turner Estate Solutions Limited - a wholly owned subsidiary of Turner Facilities Management Limited launched their Sustainability Campaign 2010 within Regional Prime Contract (Scotland). 

The aims of the campaign are to:

• Contribute to local communities
• Contribute to conservation and biodiversity
• Provide appropriate training on the sustainability appraisal process
• Provide appropriate training on the environmental management system
• Work towards environmental objectives and targets, as well as the client’s objectives and targets - Sustainable Operations on the Government Estate
• To increase awareness of the sustainability agenda within RPC (Scotland)
• To give clear guidance on sustainability tools and processes

The campaign includes a variety of activities including: Staff Awareness and Training Programme: Site Waste Management Plans, Energy and Environmental Management Systems and Staff Voluntary Conservation Days.

At Turner Facilities Management, we take our commitment to local communities and the environment very seriously.  Within Turner Estate Solutions Limited, working on the defence estate covering the whole of Scotland, we recognise that as a prime contractor to the MOD (one of the largest landowners in Britain), we have the potential to have a profound impact on communities in Scotland.  The company has various sustainability processes embedded within the business and is committed to contributing to conservation and the wider sustainability agenda.
